I want to start off this review by saying that before I bought this starter I had no prior experience baking or caring for sour dough. I had always wanted to start baking bread but never had the courage. However I'm so glad I decided to start with the 150 Year Old San Francisco Sourdough Starter. When I ordered I was simply expecting just the sour dough starter but the package came with instructions and some very interesting history about the starter (which I've been telling all my friends because it's so cool). For anyone like me who wants to start baking sour dough but is apprehensive this is the place to start! It's an amazing and hardy starter which has helped me produce many loafs of bread which i'ved share with friends and family. I highly recommend!

I had been trying to make my starter from scratch with KA bread flour, and it just wasn't going anywhere. So I got the Kensington starter, revived it, and have been working with it for several weeks. Today I fed it and it is raising a LOT! So glad I got it - this will become MY starter - just haven't come up with a name for it yet!
