I tried to make my own starter but finally gave up. The Kensington starter was easy to feed with the instructions that it comes with. The taste is just amazing. Would recommend to anyone starting out.
So, I actually haven't yet started the sourdough, er, starter making yet; however, with 150 years of cred behind the product, I'm visualizing total success and a bountiful yield of delicious bread. I think my delay is based on a moderate degree of intimidation, but when the time is right, I will be full-in and committed to the process. Lets goooo.
