Excellent!
The best sourdough I have ever make .
I bought the Kensington Sourdough Starter (“Lord Kensington,” “Kenny,” or sometimes “Just Ken”) as a complete beginner, and honestly, it’s been one of the best kitchen purchases I’ve made.
I’d wanted to try sourdough for ages but always felt a bit intimidated by the whole process. This starter made it so much easier than I expected. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, and Kenny was active and reliable right from the start.
One thing I really appreciated was that I didn’t feel like I was wasting anything while learning. My first discard became naan bread, which turned out far better than I expected, and the next batch became cinnamon rolls that disappeared very quickly in our house. It was nice knowing that even the learning stages produced something tasty.
Since getting Kenny, I’ve made sourdough bread, naan, buns, cinnamon rolls, and a few other things along the way. Everything has had great flavour, and I’ve gained a lot more confidence with sourdough than I thought I would.
If you’re new to sourdough and wondering whether it’s worth giving it a go, I’d definitely recommend this starter. It’s beginner-friendly, reliable, and makes the whole process feel much less daunting 💕

I had all but given up on making sourdough bread. I would always make decent tasting loaves but never got much oven spring with my homemade starter. I decided to purchase one and wow what a difference! I am now making beautiful loaves of bread! Highly recommend.
