My first sourdough experience

It’s opened up a whole new world for me as I’ve never made bread from scratch. It was fun getting the starter packet in the mail and getting it going. I began it on a Monday and by the weekend my starter was alive and well and bubbling away. I made two loaves in Dutch ovens, which I fortunately had. The taste of the bread is excellent, however I might need some practice on getting it to rise a little more. I made delicious bruschetta with some of it. Also had great success making pizza dough with the starter discard. I am looking forward to attempting English muffins and pancakes. It’s been a lot of fun and I can see that making sourdough bread is a labor of love!
